At the Parfumeurco perfume blending workshop, I had the opportunity to experience the mysterious process of creating my own signature scent. It was not only a feast for the senses but also a journey of self-discovery. The first step in blending a perfume is selecting its three main layers: top, middle, and base notes. The top notes are the initial scents that greet the nose, forming the perfume's first impression. The middle notes represent the perfume's heart, showcasing its character and style. The base notes are the long-lasting undertones that linger, leaving a lasting impression. With the guidance of a perfumer, I carefully chose my favorite scents from a wide range of fragrance oils, then refined my selection through a second round, recording the unique characteristics of each essence.
